Imports of gas from the beginning of the year increased by 39%

Imports of gas from the beginning of the year increased by 39%.

In January-November 2017, Ukraine increased natural gas imports by 39% (by 3.67 billion cubic meters) compared to the same period in 2016 - to 13.95 billion cubic meters. This is evidenced by the data of Ukrtransgaz, reports Interfax-Ukraine.

As noted, including from Slovakia in January-November-2017 received 9 billion 239.3 million cubic meters of gas, Hungary - 2 billion 702.2 million cubic meters, Poland - 1 billion 153.6 million cubic meters.

In November-2017, imports amounted to 1 billion 316.8 million cubic meters of gas, which is 14.9% less than in November 2016 (1 billion 546.6 million cubic meters).

At the same time, Ukraine for more than two years (from November 26, 2015) does not import natural gas under a contract with Gazprom, purchasing a resource exclusively on its western border.

Recall that gas transit through Ukrainian GTS from January to November 2017 increased by 15.9% compared to the same period last year.
